Brigadeiros

If you like chocolate and caramels and FUN...you will love these brigadeiros! A Brazilian candy that is easy to make and fun to decorate! A great activity to do with the kids.


Directions

1. Grease a large plate with half of the butter.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cocoa, sugar and water until combined.

3. In a medium saucepan, add the condensed milk, cocoa mixture and remaining butter. Stir together over medium heat.

4. Continue to cook for 8-10 minutes stirring constantly.

5. You will know it’s done when it is thick and when you scrape the bottom of the pan in the middle, it takes a few seconds to come back together.

6. Pour the hot mixture on the plate.

7. Let it cool completely for around 2 hours. To speed this up you can place in the refrigerator.

8. Pour sprinkles in a medium bowl and line mini cupcake tin with paper cups.

9. When mixture has cooled, butter your hands and scoop into tablespoon sized globs.

10. Roll together in your hands.

11. Roll in sprinkles until completely coated.

12. Set in paper cups. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter divided
  • Sprinkles (any kind of small sprinkles)
  • Mini-cupcake paper cups

Instructions:
