*It is important to heat-treat your flour before making the dough. Consuming raw flour can lead to food borne illness.

This recipe makes 3 different flavors of cookie dough.  If you prefer to make just one of the flavors, you need to triple the ingredients for the topping.  

Once you have the cookie dough base, this recipe is easy to customize.

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line 2 rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Spread 1 cup of flour evenly on one baking sheet and the other cup on the other baking sheet.  Bake for 10 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160 degrees. 

3. Remove from oven and set aside to cool completely.  This will take around 10-15 minutes.

4. In a large bowl, add the butter, brown sugar, and vanilla. 

5. Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until combined.

6. Add the heat-treated flour and salt. 

7. Mix until combined.  The mixture will be crumbly.

8. Add the milk a little at a time and mix until desired dough consistency is reached.

9. Divide dough into 3 medium bowls for each flavor.

10. For the chocolate chip dough, fold in the chocolate chips.

11. For the Rocky Road, add the cocoa powder with a teaspoon of milk.  Stir together adding more milk if needed until combined.  Fold in the almonds, marshmallows, and chocolate chunks.

12. For the Funfetti, fold in the sprinkles and white chocolate chips.

Cover the dough and let cool in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

14. Scoop into dough balls if desired and store in refrigerator.
