Pecan Pie Brownies

This dessert is not for the faint of heart! Moist chocolate brownies topped with wonderfully rich pecan pie filling! Sure to be your next obsession.

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line an 9 x 13” baking pan with parchment paper and grease with baking spray.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

3. Add the butter and oil to a large bowl. Mix until creamy.

4. Add the sugar and mix for a minute.

Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until well combined.

6. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

7. Stir in the mini-chocolate chips.

8. Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly.

9. Bake for 25 minutes. While brownies are baking make pecan topping.

10. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla and salt until smooth.

11. Add the egg and whisk until combined.

12. Add pecans and mix until all pecans are coated.

13. Top the baked brownies with pecan topping, spreading evenly.

14. Bake for another 20-25 minutes until pecan mixture is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Pecan Topping
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
