If you don't want the extra sodium, feel free to leave off the sea salt. The cookies taste great without too!

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the butter until creamy.

4. Add sugar and brown sugar.  Mix until combined.

5. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until well incorporated.

6. Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture.

7. Mix until just combined.

8. Add the oats and chocolate chips. 

9. Fold in with a wooden spoon or spatula.

10. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

11. Drop tablespoon sized balls of dough on a parchment lined baking sheet. (8 at a time to allow cookies to spread)

12. Bake for 12-14 minutes until cookies are golden brown on the edges and look set.

 

13. Remove cookies from oven and add extra chocolate chips and sprinkle coarse sea salt if desired.
