Spiced Pumpkin Bread

In fall...pumpkin spice reigns supreme! Moist and spiced just right...this bread should be added to your favorite fall recipes!

1. Gather ingredients. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour six mini-loaf pans (or three 7x3 loaf pans or two 9x5 loaf pans).

2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree and sugars.

4. Add eggs, sour cream, oil, melted butter, and water. Mix until fully combined.

5. Add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

6. Add batter to prepared pans. Bake approximately 40-45 minutes for mini-loaf pans (50-55 minutes for 7x3 pans, 60-65 minutes for 9x5 loaf pans) or until a toothpick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean.

7. Allow loaves to sit in pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto wire racks to cool completely.

  • 1 3/4 cup pumpkin puree (equal to one 15 oz. can pumpkin puree)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 2/3 cup water
